Key Aspects to the Game and Our Coaching Programmes

  • Technical Skill - The players basic fundamental ability to participate in the game, and to develop them through our main 4 focus areas of passing, dribbling, shooting and turning.

  • Game Play - Developing the player and team in active game situations, and to aid them in the progression from mini football to 11 a-side.

  • Tactics - Selecting a game plan for the team and individuals to create positive and maximum momentum during the game.

  • Set Pieces - A key factor in the game for both defending and attacking and a key influence in scoring and conceding goals during a game.

  • Fitness - Key in the game, and is the players engine to keep going through each game from whistle to whistle.

  • Plyometrics - The development of agility and speed based around the game and key areas that will improve the player.

  • Nutrition - Food in sport is the player's fuel, so the better the fuel the better quality performance you get.

  • Goal Keeping - A unique part of the game and unique skills are required to be a great goalkeeper. Our goalkeeper training will focus on the main areas to develop our young goalkeepers: such as handling, shot stopping, 1 on 1, organisation and kicking.
